Small chandeliers can be the finishing touch or the first change

One common use of small chandeliers is as a finishing touch to a decorated room which lacks a feature or a bit of character. It doesn’t have to be like that, though, and adding small chandeliers to the blank canvas of an empty room can be a great starting point for a wonderful end product. Let’s have a look at some instances where putting the lighting fixture first can lead you to an entirely different type of room from the one you probably had in mind:

  1. The kid’s bedroom. Putting a chandelier in your child’s room might not be an obvious idea, but the ready availability of cool kid’s lighting fixtures means that it becoming more popular with parents who want to design a different type of room. Choose a model which is fun but which also still be useful when the child’s tastes change in a few years and then model the room around its shape and colors. If you choose a wooden model you will have the choice of painting it in the future, when their decoration is changed.

  2. The elegant dining room. Once you put a chandelier into an empty dining room it is clear that it is going to be a refined space which is going to a real highlight of the home and somewhere the family meets to chat and dine together. Having an elegant light fitting here may also encourage you to hold dinner parties or a get together of friends under its welcoming light. To be refined a chandelier doesn’t have to be big, as small ones can work as well, or even better, in small rooms or where the ceiling is not particularly high.

  3. The outdoor eating zone. Small chandeliers are great for adding great light and a permanent feel to patio areas. This will involve designing the eating zone next to the light source, why is why it is a good idea to add the lighting before you arrange the patio layout.

  4. The luxurious bathroom. As in the dining room, the addition of a quality chandelier means that designing a basic, functional bathroom without any charm or class is no longer an option. The idea of lying in a sunken bath or hot tub beneath a great light fixture is just too delicious for words.

  5. The rustic kitchen. Small chandeliers come in wood, among other materials, and this type of light fitting can greatly enhance the rustic effect which is popular when people look for a country cottage style home.

  6. The lively stairway. This often neglected part of the home can also benefit for gaining more light and an elegant feature. Further improvements which may consider afterwards could be the addition of some art or plants.

  7. The modern living room. Chandeliers are sometime looked upon as old fashioned decorations which don’t work at all well with a modern, stylish house. This is completely wrong, and many small chandeliers are not just classy but also modern and very well designed to work within a cutting edge home.
